“Seasons of Caregiving” will be a new approach to scheduling our Powerful Tools for Caregiving classes. Keeping in line with the four seasons of the year, we’ll offer the class every summer, winter, spring and fall.

The theme also reflects the ebb-and-flow nature of caregiving: some days are easier than others, so you need the tools and knowledge to make the most of each of them. The Powerful Tools course gives you exactly that.

Classes will be held via Zoom. The virtual setting allows everyone to engage in the safest way possible and opens the door to our entire region all at once. Caregivers from Anamosa to Amana and everywhere in between have a chance to meet each other, which isn’t always easy for in-person classes.

Here’s everything you need to know about Seasons of Caregiving: Winter 2021

When are classes?
Wednesdays from Jan. 13 – Feb. 17, 2021, from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

When is the registration deadline?
Please register by Jan. 4, 2021. This allows time to send you materials used in the classes.

How do I register?
To register for the Winter 2021 course, fill out the Registration Form on this page.

What do I need to participate in class?
Because the class is virtual, you’ll need a device (smartphone, tablet or computer) with a stable internet connection and audio/video capabilities to see and hear the class leaders. The book that supports coursework will be sent to you after registration.

Is there a cost to register?
There is no mandatory cost for the course. A voluntary donation of $10 covers printing and postage costs to help support the class for your group and future caregivers. Donations can be made online here or via mail to the Heritage AAA office.
