COVID-19 Vaccine Information

About nine months after the first case of COVID-19 was confirmed in Iowa, the first doses of vaccines have arrived. The vaccine is expected to be available in phases starting with high-priority groups like healthcare workers and the highest-risk individuals.

Vaccine Scam: Sadly, scammers are trying to take advantage of older adults who are considered high-risk for COVID complications and therefore want to get vaccinated ASAP. Do not pay anyone for the vaccine or to reserve a spot, get a ticket, etc. for the vaccine. The only potential payment would be for a visit to your doctor’s clinic – not to a stranger on the phone.
