The Marion Fire Department will host a monthly presentation on safety topics for older adults and families. All are welcome to attend.
The goals of the program are to focus on older adults’ safety, reduce their vulnerability to fire, injury or crime and connect them with available community resources. Many of the topics will be presented in partnership with other organizations, such as the Marion Police Department, the Marion Public Library, and Linn County TRIAD.
The safety sessions will be held on the first Wednesday of each month from Noon-1 p.m. at Marion Fire Station No. 1, 100 Irish Drive. The 2023 schedule is as follows:
