Phyllis Zalenski is a Human Sciences Specialist with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach. The primary focus of outreach is empowering individuals and families to manage resources effectively and make informed decisions. Programming provides opportunities for individuals to acquire knowledge and skills in finances and related topics. She facilitates programs on “Finances of Caregiving,” “Future Care Planning,” and “Powerful Tools for Caregivers.” Her undergraduate degree is in Family and Consumer Sciences with a minor in business. Graduate degrees are in family resource management.

Pam Railsback is a passionate advocate for folks living in long term care and enjoys working on behalf of the residents to ensure their rights are protected and quality of care is upheld.  She also offers consultation to individuals who reach out.  Pam has been with the Office of the State Long-Term Care Ombudsman for 13 years and previously enjoyed working in a nursing facility as the social services coordinator.
