Senior dining is thriving in Washington!

Encore Express in Washington is the best of both worlds in senior nutrition: group dining to enjoy hot meals with good company, plus a monthly set of vouchers to pick up meals at your convenience.

Group dining is held the second and fourth Thursday each month at Immanuel Lutheran Church (1226 E Washington St) in Washington. Hot meals are catered by Hy-Vee, good times are had with fellow older adults and speakers are often brought in to entertain and inform.

Vouchers are distributed on a monthly basis and can be redeemed at the Washington Hy-Vee. More details are available at pickup, including at group dining events for your convenience.

Reservations and Menus

Reservations are requested to ensure enough food is prepared. Diners with reservations will be served first. Call the church by Tuesday the week of dining to save your spot: 319-653-3950

Menus for group dining are posted below each month. The meals available for pickup with vouchers will vary based on what is available at Hy-Vee.
